Spotlight on: Pandas Foundation; mental health support

Pandas have a variety of different support services available, all run by a trained team of PANDAS volunteers who are here to help you.

If you’d like to speak to someone

Our FREE PANDAS Helpline is available from 11am-10pm every day. Our dedicated volunteer team are on hand to offer support and advice, and can help to direct you to other organisations, if necessary.

Please call us if you’re struggling with helplessness, low mood, anxiety or have any concerns about your health during or beyond your pregnancy.

You can also call us for advice and support if you’re concerned about someone you know.

Text Support Service

Text the word ‘PANDAS’ to 85258 for in-the-moment support your mental health.

Individuals feeling anxious, stressed, lonely, depressed, suicidal or overwhelmed and who need immediate support can use the service by texting the word ‘PANDAS’ to 85258, any time of the day or night.

Email support

If you’re at work or home and don’t have the privacy to speak to us, please contact our email support service.

You may find it helpful to put pen to paper and get your thoughts down. It can offer you a release and also provide comfort. Our one-to-one email support is a way for you to write to us, explaining how you feel and to ask any questions you may have.

Our trained volunteers will aim to respond to your email within 72 hours. Please get in touch if you’d like more information on perinatal mental illness, or are looking for support for yourself or your partner, friend or colleague.
